Birthday dinner binge this weekend. Finally made it to Boystown’s HB Bistro and it was well worth it. This was the eggplant caponata with basil olive oil drizzle. Divine way to start the meal.
Appearances are deceiving. These veggie cakes on collard greens and mushrooms from Evanston’s Fishmarket was mighty tasty.

The dessert in Richmond, VA’s The Magpie features a chocolate & bone marrow milkshake you get to dip your fries in. Oh my heaven.
So Gastrodamus and I may have gone overboard with the dessert sampler…
Michigan whitefish with horseradish crust with Dijon sauce. It lasted maybe 4 seconds on my plate before I scarfed it all down in my belly.
